Rescue Update: 7 girls rescued in East Africa – In August, reports came in of a group of seven young girls walking on foot toward a major city in East Africa. With our support, a government counter-trafficking officer brought the vulnerable girls to district headquarters, where our team helped conduct interviews. The girls are receiving counseling, food and basic necessities in an emergency shelter while our team helps determine next steps. Investigations are ongoing to identify the traffickers and their network.
